BUT JUST TRY IT!
You have nothing to lose - you're on holiday and a printed pair of jeans/ pants will just put you in an even more relaxed mood. (To show you exactly "HOW TO", I'll do a few Polyvore sets with ideas on how to wear the seasons printed pants, after this post).
If you prefer the printed dress option, make it a maxi length, loose fitting and, preferably, in cotton - which then can double as a chic beach cover-up as well.
Whatever your choice, be it dress or pants, just choose something that's completely opposite of your "everyday" look. Something that is bright and will make you smile when you take it out of your suitcase.
